Kurumba Maldives offers an array of eight styles of accommodation, ranging from Superior to the Royal Residence, spread amongst the island’s lush tropical gardens with easy access to the beach. Blending rich woods and high-ceilings with the warmth of Maldivian style and design, each room provides a comfortable sanctuary throughout your stay.

Each room is complemented by a walk-in dressing room and bathroom with sandstone tiles, stand-alone tub and indoor and outdoor showers. All bedrooms comes equipped with an in-room safe, private minibar, tea/coffee facilities, satellite TV, internet .

		A highlight of luxurious living, the Royal Residence is a two-bedroom suite with two swimming pools and a spacious sundeck overlooking the beach. The entrance is through a courtyard over a bridge spanning an ornamental pool with a thatched pavilion and daybeds on either side. A patio gives access to a foyer and large sitting room, complete with butler's pantry and guest washroom. Doors on either side of the foyer open into the two wings of the Royal Residence; each wing has a walk-in dressing room, bedroom with king-sized bed, verandah onto the beach and a large, luxurious bathroom leading to a private courtyard with swimming pool, Jacuzzi, outdoor shower and shaded king-sized daybed. The lounge and diner area serves as a central space for entertaining or dining. Thoughtful touches include a 24 hour Butler, the option of daily à la carte Premium breakfast in Ocean Grill daily afternoon cocktails in the Beach Bar.

		The Presidential Pool Villas are tastefully appointed to ensure your privacy and comfort throughout your stay. There is a master bedroom on the upper level with a king-sized bed overlooking the beach and ocean. This level also features a walk-in dressing room, bathroom with separate glass-walled shower, central marble-sided bathtub and outdoor shower. The downstairs space offers a large lounge room with private bar, television and sound system facilities. The ground floor verandah leads out to the beach and lagoon. There is a large private swimming pool in an enclosed courtyard with dining table, sun loungers and or daybeds. This room can be suitable for families or romantic couples seeking privacy, space and a touch of class. 		The spacious Deluxe Pool Villas feature a large bedroom, sitting room and verandah that lead onto the white sands of our island. The rooms are large and open allowing for spacious living. Thoughtful touches include Lavazza coffee machines, I-Home docking station and DVD player to name just a few. 		The Private Villas with Jacuzzi are idyllically located on prime beachfront and are consistently the favorite choice for guests seeking spacious comfort and privacy. Featuring a large bedroom, adjoining sitting room and verandah steps away from the beach, the villa is also complemented with a spacious bathroom, a glass-walled shower, bath tub and open courtyard complete with a "rain shower" with an outdoor garden Jacuzzi. Located in the southern tip of the picturesque atoll of Ari, Maafushivaru is the embodiment of ‘no-shoes-no-news’ that the Maldives is known for. The island was refurbished in 2010, and offers you villas in three distinct styles, each combining elements of Maldivian architecture with stylish and chic finishing touches.

As is typical in the Maldives, the Reception, Library Lounge walkway and Water Bar are all sand floored. Going barefoot is the only way on this island.

Located in the same lagoon as Maafushivaru, just minutes away, is Lonubo, a stunning deserted islet, exclusively for the use of Maafushivaru guests, where you can choose to while away your days or book a romantic lobster dinner for the evening, just the two of you, on your own private island for the night.

Transfer to the island is by seaplane and takes 25 minutes from Male’ International Airport.

The island is run in collaboration with Kuoni Travel, and can be booked from any Kuoni offices in the United Kingdom, France, Switzerland, Italy, Spain and the Netherlands, or via your travel agent. For the convenience of our mutual guests, two Kuoni representatives are based permanently on the island to assist with all guest requests.

There are 50 individual villas in a choice of three different styles. All are well-appointed yet simple in design and build, whilst assuring complete privacy. You will find everything you need for a relaxing holiday close to nature. All villas have clear views of the turquoise blue ocean and some look onto the colourful reef. The Beach Villas and Deluxe Beach Villas each accommodate 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children. The Water Villas also have space for 3 adults or 2 adults and 1 child, although these are not recommended for those with very young children.

Flavour

Our main restaurant is the ‘Cuisine Gallery’. There is also a coffee shop, the ‘Library Lounge’ which is open all day. The ‘Wine Chiller’ features a walk-in room with a wide selection of wines which you can browse and make your special choice to have with dinner, whilst the ‘Water Bar’ is open for all types of drinks from 9am till late.

For evening dining, in addition to the buffet, we offer an à la carte selection instead of the buffet or a choice of private dining experiences for that ‘special occasion’. Another à la carte option is ‘135° East’ our Teppanyaki and Sushi restaurant.

Diving at the Dive Center

The Conrad Maldives Rangai Island resort has its own Dive Centre, managed by Sub-Aqua with multilingual instructors and offers PADI and SSI courses. Certified instructors can take children over the age of five on diving trips and daily trips for divers are run to a multitude of sites. A favorite dive site of the Maldives is Manta Point, only a 10 minute boat ride away, where guests can go diving and snorkeling to see mantas in the manta season (Dec – March). There are many other beautiful dive sites to choose from which showcase the diversity of the amazing aquatic life to be seen in the South Ari Atoll. Our Rangali Island resort is delighted to have two manta rays "resident" all year round in our lagoon. During the manta season between the months of Dec-March manta rays inhabit the nearby reef just a 10 minute boat ride from the resort and guests can observe them by diving or snorkeling.
